Excellent, clean little hotel with some English speaking staff and great breakfast

Always a good address for very good and plentiful food. We have been guests there regularly and at various family celebrations for many years and have never been disappointed.

The house is very nice. Unfortunately, at 8 in the morning, the night is over and construction work starts on the neighboring properties. The garden and the pool cannot be used during the day due to the noise and dust nuisance. An end to the construction work is not in sight.

I was on a date. The restaurant was barely full, and the atmosphere was cozy. The waitress asked us for drinks very quickly, everything was good so far. Then we got the menus. We looked in (under constant observation of both waitresses - two ladies between 35 and 45), decided on something after five minutes and put the cards in front of us again. Despite quite frequent eye contact with the waitresses, no one came to ask us about food. So I spoke to one of the ladies when she was walking past us again with eye contact and asked if we could order yet. Then there was actually a snotty answer that she couldn't know that, that we also want something to eat and that we can't expect her to know. Well, for the fact that this shop was shown to us as a restaurant, that was anything but behavior that would be appropriate in a restaurant. We ordered something anyway because I was hungry and we'd been sitting there for so long. My date's burger was well prepared, unfortunately my schnitzel was quite tough (we tried both) and hardly really edible, so we gave it back, paid, and left. After that we at least had one topic of conversation - the audacity of this lady.

I've been eating here on vacation for ages. The ambience is a bit "stuck" but very clean and well-kept. Somehow that makes it quaint too. The dishes are plentiful and very tasty. The service is always very good too.

Long and long waiting, vegetables mushy, venison steaks well-done, dry, tough and bitter. If I had chanterelles as old as these were no longer served to a guest. € 26.90 cheek

The high quality, delicious food had reasonable prices and a more than sufficient portion size. Good service that also includes changes to the dishes. In the evening you are greeted with a greeting from the kitchen. From the starter to the dessert, everything was top notch. The cozy ambience enables a pleasant stay. Fresh flowers and candles belong on every table here. In any case, I will be back and gladly bring family and friends with me!

A wonderful dinner and buy far the best Christmas goose I have had in Germany. Highly recommended as the staff are very friendly and attentive.

Nice visit of the children in Scharnhorst. But I do not want to live here anymore. 45 years in the heath, I'm glad to live in Weserbergland again.
